Aeja Peterson
Aeja Peterson received her BM in Viola Performance at Boise State University, and went on to receive a MM in both Viola Performance and Musicology at the prestigious Peabody Institute of Music. She has always loved sharing the gift of music with children, and has been teaching private violin and viola lessons since 1997. However it was 4 years ago when she was introduced to Music Together, and she became a registered teacher in Fall 2005. Aeja was so impressed with Music Together’s philosophy of musical modeling and non-performance-oriented play, and has seen its positive effects in her teaching, in her own performance, and even in her day-to-day parenting! She and her husband have a daughter, Elinore Grace, who is a huge Music Together fan and has loved singing the songs since the tender age of 9 months. |

Kevin Mangelson
Kevin began performing and enjoying music from a very young age. He was raised in a musical family and remembers spending many evenings gathered around the piano for sing-alongs. He began studying voice privately at the age of 7. He naturally gravitated towards music and singing during his school years and was a featured soloist as well as assistant director of the A capella choir. He also spent time on the stage as a lead in school and community plays. Upon graduation he spent time traveling the Northwest performing with and soloing for a renowned vocal jazz group.
Kevin's first exposure to Music Together was as a parent when he enrolled his son Harrison. The next year began a musical awakening in his already musically inclined family. He soon found his family singing together in the car, dancing in the living room, and playing along with their own set of homemade instruments. The connection the music brought his family led Kevin to get trained in order to share Music Together with other families. He is married to TawnaLyn, a registered Suzuki violin teacher, and has two children Harrison, and Jacalyn.
